Why Project Green? Why Now?
Gardening and sustainable living has always provided solace to many. A garden is a safe space to work, learn and grow while being one with nature. Due to Covid-19, the mental and physical health of school age children has suffered dramatically. We at Project Green have found that a lunchtime garden program will offer the space for kids to work together towards a common goal, while also providing an environment in which they can learn and grow as one. Digging in the dirt and watching a plant grow from a small seedling can do wonders for the soul. Friendships and comradarie come naturally while working in the garden together.
